To date, over 200 member households have now paid their 2024 subscriptions online using the MemberMojo software introduced this Autumn. After completing a short, one-off registration form via our website, members can pay their subscriptions using a debit or credit card, for one, two or three years.
KENDRA understands not all of our members have internet access or are comfortable using an online payment system. Some may not have debit or credit cards. That’s why we will continue to accept cheques or cash subscriptions for the foreseeable future, either by post or through our Road Steward network.
So why has KENDRA introduced an online subscription?
Collecting cash subscriptions has become increasingly difficult for a number of reasons:
- we have areas not covered by a Road Steward
- not all members have cash to hand when Road Stewards call or use cheques
- cash subscriptions need to be manually passed on, registered and banked, which is obviously labour intensive for our unpaid volunteers.
KENDRA is a relatively large residents’ association and keeping manual records updated is a continuous process, prone to discrepancies and inaccuracies. An online system has advantages both for KENDRA and its members:
- membership records are automatically updated on registration
- members can access and amend their details online
- members receive an email confirmation of their subscription payments and membership status
- emailed subscription reminders
- multi-year membership subscription payment option (up to 3 years)
- secure payment by debit or credit card (Visa and Mastercard preferred)
- option to receive weekly eNewsletter (news about planning, local issues and events)
- option to register an additional member of the household to receive emails
We are in a transition period and there will always be anomalies. If you have any queries or problems with online subscription or need advice about cash payments please contact planning@kenleyra.org.uk
