Several thousand visitors attended the Heritage Day at Kenley Airfield, on Sunday 16th August, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Despite the heavy cloud cover, a Spitfire and a Hurricane flew over the former RAF base to the delight of the crowd, some of whom were Royal Air Force veterans.
