If you enjoy walking in the countryside then you’re in the right place.
Kenley Common
There’s a lot more to Kenley Common than its 139 acres of open space. It’s home to some rare butterflies and plants, and is a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation for its grassland habitats. Its chalk, neutral and acid grasslands, ancient woodland and scrub, provide a fantastic home for wildlife and a quiet place for people to enjoy. The common land flanks Kenley’s historic Battle of Britain airfield, which has won a major grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and is undergoing extensive restoration.
